A. Facility / Workshop
- The facility meets Grade D cleanroom standards, utilizing an HVAC air conditioning system and HEPA filtration.
- Monitoring of airborne particle counts, microbial levels in the air, and air exchange frequency.
- Temperature: 18–26°C
- Humidity: 40–90%
- Pressure: 5–40 Pa
- Noise level monitoring
- Ammonia concentration monitoring
- Automatic lighting system
B. Breeding Stock
- 100% of breeding stock is directly imported from Japan
- Rabbit breed: JW (Japanese White)
- Status: SPF (Specific Pathogen Free) — free from identified pathogenic agents
C. Feeding and Husbandry Regimen
- Feed: LRC4 feed (imported from Oriental Yeast Company, Japan), sterilized using gamma irradiation
- Drinking water: Supplied via an automatic water system sterilized using UV (ultraviolet) radiation, drinking water samples are analyzed periodically 1–2 times per year
- Equipment: All equipment such as cages and feeding trays are sterilized using a steam autoclave before being brought into the animal rooms
- Equipment that cannot be autoclaved is placed overnight in a pass box before being transferred into the animal room
