Planning – Materials Department
General Introduction
The Planning – Supplies Department was established as soon as the Sabin Vaccine Production Science Center (now the Center for Research and Production of Vaccines and Biologicals – POLYVAC) officially began operations.
Since its establishment, the Planning – Supplies Department has successfully fulfilled its functions and tasks, and has continuously achieved the title of Excellent Labor Collective for many years.
Functions and Tasks
The Planning – Supplies Department functions as an advisor and oversees production planning and technical supplies for the Center, ensuring full, timely, and effective fulfillment of production, research, and professional activity requirements.
Main tasks include:
- Developing production and supply plans for materials, raw materials, and chemicals based on the unit's actual needs and strategy.
- Planning procurement and organizing bidding to select suppliers in compliance with legal regulations.
- Coordinating with professional departments in inspection, acceptance, inventory management, and monitoring material usage.
- Monitoring and coordinating inventory to ensure no production disruption or excessive stock.
- Advising on long-term material strategy and proposing solutions to optimize production costs.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Center's Board of Directors.
